This is the third in a series of new paintings I produced for the Artists Open Houses Festival this year.

It's a great feeling when a painting I've done, even to me, has something that keeps me looking at it.  I've had this sensation before but not as strongly as this painting.  Why not feel proud about something I've made, what was a blank sheet of paper is now something that has a quality thats hard to quantify, even for me.  That is the great, lasting thing about art, about painting and about making a place that doesn't exist in reality - but somehow in my head and onto paper.

I'd go as far to say, in my own opinion, its the painting, of all that I have produced, that I am most happy with - perhaps the best I've ever done.
