The second of three paintings inspired by the colours of the Scottish Highlands.  Whilst staying on the Isle of Skye, where the weather, clouds and colours are always shifting this painting emerged from the middle day heat on a fine, clear day.  Painting just outside the cottage I was staying in the light created a haze across the bay, making the colours appear softer and more gentle.  I have tried to capture this tone and spirit in the painting.
