As my understanding of working with oils grows, so does my appreciation of the artists I so admire who have painted with oils in the past. One such artist is Winifred Nicholson, who painted with such a light touch that her work appears to look simple, almost naive, but when you break it down in terms of process, is anything but. This is my tribute to her, a still life full of light coming from a window. Simple. Lightness.
