This is a big and bold painting that comes in to it's own in a large space.  I took a very loose and expressive approach to this work using Bravaria in Germany and Southern France as my inspiration in terms of place and landscape. It's a very fresh and bright painting, and there's something holiday-like about it, the light and glow from the pathway running through the middle of the painting.  The post impressionism colour palette was very much an influence, August Macke, Andre Derain, Maurice de Vlaminck and Kandinsky in particular.

It's my hope the painting gives a sense of peacefulness to the viewer and will look best in my view in a large high ceiling bedroom or living room.

The cost includes exceptional quality framing, dry mounted (meaning the painting remains completely flat), art glass (thick UV reflective glass ensuring the painting doesn't fade), mounted and framed with the best materials.  Close from Natural Oak, Limed Oak, Dark Stained Oak or White Washed Wood (my favourite!). 

Of course if you'd prefer to frame the painting yourself then the cost is reduced.
